We said goodbye to our parents and checked in.We had fun while waiting to board.We read books and played board games.We arrived in Dubai and spent our transit time relaxing and reading.We boarded the plane from Dubai on time and then it was 7 hours of non stop flying.We had some breakfast and lunch on the plane.We tried catching up on our sleep.Some of us took advantage of the in flight entertainment and played games,watched movies and listened to music.

We landed in Geneva and when we came out of the airport ,the bus driver was already waiting to take us to the chalet.We enjoyed our bus ride and appreciated the natural beauty.We ariived at the chalet and settled in our rooms.We met our monitor who showed us our classroom and explained to us how our days had been planned.we showered and changed and went to have our dinner.We met some other students from a CM1 class in France.They are here for skiing too.We retired into our rooms as we were all exhausted.More news from the Alps to follow:)

4th February,2013

We woke up this morning feeling terribly excited.We went straight down for breakfastWhile waiting,we had the opportunity to interact with the students from another school in France.after breakfast,we went to the "local ski" and tried our ski gear.We tried on the boots and after finding our right sizes,we kept everything in our pigeon holes.

We went to our classroomand started working in our 3dossiers3.We split into two groups.The first group went out with Ms.Sadaf and Mr.Abraham.They saw the ski station and spent some time playing in the snow.They also went to a local souvenir shop.When the first group returned,the second group went on the same expedition.They had a ball of a time.

The afternoon was fun  a great leaning experience and full of adventures.We made snowmen and spent time on the sledge.It was great fun.The highlight of the day was us spending time and building an igloo with our monitor Damien.We can't wait to share our adventures with you all.

We spent the evening in our classroom writing in our diaries,e mailing our parents and writing postcards.We also had our English class:).After dinner;we had a great time playing different educational games.And then it was time to hit the bed.Though we were tired,we could hardly wait for the next day.

5th February,2013

Another great day planned for us.We all woke up feeling really excited as today we were to start our ski lessons.We had breakfast and after changing,we went to our classroom.We had a very informative class.We learned about snow and discovered many new things about snow.The interesting part was collecting snow and bringing it back to the classroom and then analysing it.We did some experiments outside too and we look forward to sharing them with you.

After class, we had lunch.It was cold today.We got ready for skiing:))!!!!!!WOW!!!!It was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed every second of it.After our ski lessons,we had some hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookie.We then went out to finish the igloo with the other students from France.It was awesome.After taking our shower,we returned to our classroom where we did English and then some other work.we will be going for dinner very soon and then we will be having a casino night.We are so busy and are enjoying all the activities.

Reporting live from St Francois Longchamps.Another day full of adventures.The weather got cold today and we woke up to see a blanket of snow.What a magnificient and impressive sight.Though the temperature fell;our spirits and enthusiasm remain high.After breakfasr,we had a very interesting and informative class.We learned about avalanches. We were exposed to many hands on activities. We had the opportunity to go out and play on the sledge. After lunch,we hit the ski slopes. It is indeed a very  proud day for all of us as we all succeeded in skiing and for some of us in learning the basics of skiing. So congratulations to all of us:)  After skiing,we had our delicious hot chocolate and returned to our rooms to take shower. We went back to our classroom, where we did some studies. We are looking forward to dinner and then another fun packed educational activity. We will surely be reporting to you our next adventures very soon. Till then take care of yourselves and stay warm:).

7th February,2013

Another eventful day!!Wow,we have been busy.We woke up and got busy right away.After breakfast,we put on our ski suits and went to our classrooms.We had a class, which was a great learning experience.We learned how to help and rescue avalanche victims.It was very informative and we thoroghly enjoyed the class.

 After lunch,we went skiing.Again it was wonderful.We are doing so much better now and are so confident on the piste.Tomorrow is a full day of skiing:).We are so excited.We had our delicious hot chocolate and ginger bread.We showered and went back to our classroom.We did some English and then had another interesting class with our monitor on avalanches.

Dinner will be served shortly.Then we are off to our lotto night:).We are looking forward to it.Yesteday evening ,we had a fun and educational night.We teamed up with the other students and played an interesting vocabulary game.

8th February,2013

A great skiing day:)

It was a beautiful day with Mr.Sun shining and smiling down upon us.Though the morning was a bit chilly,it was a brilliant day.

This morning,we woke up earlier than usual.We were  divided into two groups.After breakfast(which we had before the other students),one group took the shuttle and the other went in the chalet's bus.

Some of us had the opportunity to see the grand Mont Blanc from a distance.The view was not all that clear and visible due to the weather conditions.We returned to the chalet around noon.We had our lunch and then went to tidy our bedrooms.At around 13:25,we got ready for the second ski session:).We felt just so lucky!!

We returned from our lessons feeling as if we were on cloud nine.We have come a long way and are now skiing with confidence.We had our snack and then hit the showers.We finished tidying our rooms and returned to our classroom to do some work.

We had dinner and then had an interesting evening where we played "qui a raison".We are tired and ready to go to bed.We have a great day planned ahead of us.Tomorrow ,we go skiing in the morning and then in the afternoon we will be doing some shopping,drinking hot chocolate and doing some luge.

Reporting live from the French Alps!We had an amazing day.We woke up and it was really cold this morning.After breakfast,we changed into our ski gear and headed straight for our lessons.Oh how we are enjoying our skiing lessons.Some of us are even thinking of becoming ski instructors:)

After skiing ,we had lunch.And then another fun part began.We took the shuttle to La Lauziere and had a great time sledging on the piste.We went souvenir shopping and of course sought advice from our teachers what they thought our parents would like to have for a gift.We are sure you are going to love the gifts we bought for all of you.We were treated to hot chocolate and waffles.We walked back to our chalet.It was a beautiful walk and we enjoyed the time we spent walking down the ski slopes and watching the skiers pass by.We returned to the chalet,showered and changed and went to the classroom.We did our work and wrote in our diaries.

We had dinner and our very enjoyable day ended with a musical quiz.As always,we have a busy day planned ahead of us but we will make sure to update you with our latest adventures.Till then take care and goodnight.

A nice day where we took things easy.We woke up and were very happy to see some sunshine.We had breakfast and went to the class.After passing the morning in the class,we had lunch.We went skiing in the afternoon and then went some souvenir shopping .After snack and shower,we went back to our classroom.We did some work.We are getting ready for dinner and then are looking forward to the story telling time after dinner.Like we said it has been anice, relaxing and easy day but we have accomplished a lot.Stay tuned for more news:)

11th February,2013

A great learning day.We woke up this morning and the temperatures had gone down.It was very cold and was snowing.After breakfast,we changed and took the shuttle to the station La Lauziere which is at 1650 metres.Our monitor explained to us the history of the people,the station , village and the sports .We learned  how  skiing has changed the living conditions and the economy of St Francois Longchamps.It was fun as we walked down/slid down the slopes.We had lunch and then  were off skiing.We are looking forward to our Boum this evening.We are also very excited as it is Gabriel's Birthday.We will be having an interesting class just before dinner.We are going to be talking about the plants the grow in the mountains and about the animals that live here.We will be watching a documentary too.

One more day and we head back to Bahrain.We have so much to share with you all.We have become responsible and independent.

12th February,2013

Wow!!!Can't believe our trip is over.We have had so much fun and it has been a great learning experience for all of us.This morning we went for a walk in the forest wearing snow rackets shoes.It was so informative.We talked about the animals and plants.We came back tired and had lunch.Right after lunch,we went for our last ski lesson at St Francois Longchamps.We came back and it was a bit sad for us when we had to return our ski shoes and helmets.But we are looking forward to coming back.We have showered and have packed our suitcases.
